About the Role
About the position:
We are seeking passionate and self-motivated individuals who thrive on challenging problem-solving. As an intern, you will be an integral part of our collaborative team, working closely with traders and quantitative researchers. You will have the opportunity to learn how we develop quantitative models to identify alpha, execute trading strategies, and analyse market movements. By working on real-world problems, you will contribute to the overall success of XY Capital by advancing our understanding of financial markets and expanding our trading capabilities.
Requirements
Who you are
Currently pursuing an undergraduate, master's, or Ph.D. degree in a STEM subject.
Suitable for students graduating in no later than Summer 2026.
Demonstrated strong interest in finance and quantitative trading.
Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, and Excel VBA, with experience in data science.
Strong command of spoken and written English.
A self-starter who can take the lead and work independently.
Must be eligible to work in Hong Kong or the UK and available full-time.
